This class offers one full hour of “fun, dance & fitness.” Move your body to oldies, pop, show tunes, country, etc. Using light weights, hula hoops, bands, canes & pom-poms. Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese art studied to promote relaxation and to encourage meditation. The slow, flowing exercise of the Tai Chi “form” is taught along with several breathing exercises. Covering color terminology, the color wheel and how to apply it, properties of color, how different light sources affect color perception, and effects of color combining in different media and in composition. Hands-on experimenting with color identification and mixing using watercolor, acrylics and color papers.

Beginner - Intermediate Pottery

The Ocean City Arts Center has a long tradition of offering classes in pottery and ceramics. We sincerely appreciate the continued interest the community has in our pottery program. We normally offer pottery classes, however those classes are already full with extensive wait lists for each. Adequate space is our biggest challenge. We are working diligently to finds ways to increase our clay and ceramic classes, so stay tuned.
