About Ellen...

Always interested in arts and knitting, Ellen graduated from Philadelphia College of Textiles and Science with a degree in Textile Management and Design. A Masters degree in Education from Chestnut Hill College followed.  Her family is from Donegal, Ireland and her painting and knitting reflect that heritage. The first painting in this show features the cliffs of Donegal, and some photographs in the show reflect the culture.  Yarn bombing is another interest of hers...a whimsical and unexpected use of knitting! You can see an example with the yarn bomb on the George Washington bust in this exhibit. Enjoy the show!
