2017 January Exhibition:
"Meet the Artist" Reception:
Friday, January 13, 7pm - 8:30pm
Alisa is a Philadelphia native and a 1983 graduate of Penn State University with a BA in Art. She paints regularly with other popular artists at Lance Balderson's studio in Seaville, NJ. The natural surroundings of the area encouraged Alisa to create paintings that are infused with nature and her love of animals.
"As an artist, I work hard to reveal through my paintings the beauty that nature has provided us in our everyday surroundings. What inspires me can be something as obvious as an ocean or landscape, my love for animals, or even a pile of debris on the beach. When I began painting more than twenty five years ago, my intention was to make each piece as realistic as possible. But always searching for new ways to express myself, I am determined to take the ordinary and create something special from it. This attitude has opened a pathway to abstraction that I am currently exploring, adding some mixed media pieces to my collection of acrylic paintings." -Alisa
Alisa exhibits her art locally and has received numerous awards in juried art shows. She is an active member of the Ocean City Arts Center and the Ocean City Fine Arts League.
When not painting, Alisa enjoys golf. In addition, she taught art appreciation to children and currently volunteers in community outreach programs including English as a Second Language. Alisa resides in the Palermo section of Upper Township with her husband.
