New: INKJET PHOTO TRANSFER Lois Maher Saturday February 3rd 10 am - 4 pm $20 + $20 supply feeAdults This is a hands-on class that will introduce you to some basic methods of transferring photos from inkjet prints onto watercolor paper, fabric and tile. Bring something to burnish your images; spoon will work, bring bone folder and burnishing roller if you already have them. Photos and transfer medium will be supplied. FABRIC ART - GRADATION DYEING Lois Maher Saturday March 3rd 10 am - 4 pm $20 + $20 supply fee Adults Learn gradation dyeing process using fiber reactive dyes and cotton fabrics. Students will dye 8 different “fat quarters” of fabric, each a different hue, ranging from one color to the next. Two yards of fabric provided. DYES ARE MESSY - DRESS APPROPRIATELY. FABRIC ART MARBLING Lois Maher Saturday March 10 10 - 4 pm $20 + $20 supply fee Adults Surface design class for quilters and fabric artists. WATERCOLOR ONGOING Kim Weiland Thursday 6:30 - 9:00 pm $125/$140 5 class purchase $25 per class w/membership Supply List Available Ages 14 yrs. + This class is a continuing study in painting using watercolor. Some previous drawing experience is necessary. Class is geared to the individual level of each student. Subject matter will range from landscape to still life. Photos can be used.
DRAWING INTRO TO DRAWING Mitch Coombs Wednesday 6:30 - 8:00 pm $75/$90 6 Week Session Adults Beginners learn the principles of drawing by working with basic shapes and the still life. This basic course concentrates on developing awareness of line, form, shape, texture and perspective using various techniques and materials. Please bring newsprint tablet (18x24) or (14x17), 6B drawing pencil and charcoal.
FIGURE DRAWING Mitchell Coombs Tuesday 7:00 - 8:30 pm $75/$90 + Model Fee* 6 Week Session Adults A course devoted to drawing from a live model. Students will make realistic figure studies, emphasizing line, form, anatomy and lighting. Instructor works individually with students at their level. All levels of talent or experience welcome. Please bring sketch pad (the larger, the better) or newsprint pad, charcoal and a #B pencil.
INTERMEDIATE DRAWING Mitch Coombs Monday 6:30 - 8:00 pm $75/$90 6 Week Session Adults (16 yrs. +) A continuing study of drawing for students who consider themselves a level above beginner or have completed adult Intro to Drawing class. Studies include still life, human figure and renderings from photos. Supplies needed: 14 X 17 or 18 X 24 newsprint pad, B drawing pencil, charcoal and conte crayon.
FOLK ART ONGOING Susan Rau Monday 9:30 - 11:30 am $15 per class Adults Finish that unfinished project or start a new project in furniture painting or create gift items. A different technique will be presented each month with a “how to” lesson given the first Monday of the month. This class is for fun!
POTTERY
INTRO TO POTTERY Sue VanDuyne Tuesday 10:00 am - Noon OR 7:00 - 9:00 pm $130/$145 + $15 Supply Fee 8 Week Session Clay cost not included. Adults (18 yrs. +) No experience necessary! This course is designed for people interested in clay work at all levels. Tiles, address plates, coil pots and boxes are popular forms. Unlike slipcast work, we use the potter’s wheel, slabs & coils to build from scratch! Glazing and decorating pieces are also covered. Satisfaction & fun guaranteed. Please note that this class is limited to 10 students. Register Early!
THROWING ON THE WHEEL Janet Kurland Wed. 10 :00 am - Noon OR Thurs. 6:30 - 8:30 pm $130/$145 + $15 Supply Fee 8 Week Session Clay cost not included Adults (18 yrs +) This course is designed for beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. Basic instruction in preparing clay for throwing and learning how to center, open up and throw a cylinder that can be made into a cup, vase, bowl, etc. Experienced students will be taught how to make pitchers, casseroles with lids, wine goblets, etc. Trimming and glazing are also included. Students need to be prepared with trimmed fingernails and a towel. Must be at least 18 years old. Class is limited to 8 people. Register Early!
STAINED GLASS
INTRODUCTION TO STAINED GLASS Annie Arena Tuesday 7:00 - 9:00 pm $120/$135 + $25 Supply Fee 6 Week Session ($18 per class for former students) Ages 16 yrs. + Introduce yourself to the beautiful world of glass. You will be taught the skills needed to create suncatchers, panels, cabinet doors or whatever your imagination wills. Materials provided include tools and one sheet of glass to complete your first project. Anyone wishing to complete a project from previous classes may contact instructor between sessions.
STAINED GLASS ONGOING Gilbert Lenett Wednesday 10:00 am - Noon $135/$150 6 class purchase Supply Fee * Adults (18 yrs.+) This class will introduce you to the concept of “painting with glass” and the mechanics of creating glass designs. You will choose a pattern and develop your own glasswork. Join us as we learn the process of basic stained glass work and have fun doing it. The teacher will supply basic tools and material for a modest fee.*

All students will learn the language of music, develop performance skills and grow in the appreciation of music. Students must have at their disposal either an acoustic piano or keyboard.
GUITAR Rob Gummel By Appointment $23 per 30 minute session Ages 7 - Adult Individual guitar instruction for all ages, levels and styles. Beginners receive instruction in reading chord charts, tablature and staff notation. Learn many styles including classical, jazz, pop, rockn’roll and blues. Guitar rentals available.
DRUM Robert Boney By Appointment $23 per 40 minute session Ages 7 - Adult Students learn sight reading, ear training, snare drum rudiments, drum set, dynamics in music, use of sticks, mallets and brushes in all musical settings. Preparation for school band, community orchestras, pop bands, college concert and marching bands. Taught by experienced, professional musician.

Beginners learn to read music. Students must have their own harp and must call to see what method books would best serve them. Students do not have to have a pedal harp; classical harp can be taught on a lever (Celtic) harp. LITERARY New: FANTASY WRITING Rachel Pruitt Tuesday 7:00 - 9:00 pm $125/$140 6 Week Session Ages 16 - Adult You will learn a step by step process that enables you to create imaginary realms with legendary characters. The craft of developing your own voice as a writer will be an integral part of this class. Topics: developing believable characters, writing realistic dialogue, pacing and crafting a saleable manuscript. Class limited to 10 students. RELAXATION TAI CHI ONGOING Frank Callio Wednesday 6:30 - 8:30 pm $5 per 1 hour class This ancient art combining movement and coordination is suitable for young and old in developing balance and dexterity. It is best described as meditation in movement. TAI CHI CHUAN LEVEL I ONGOING Mary B. Mayrosh Thursday 5:00 - 6:00 pm $50/$65 10 class purchase Tai Chi Chuan is a system of maintaining mind & body health using a finite series of 60 movements in patterned sequences. The practice itself is hundreds of years old. The foundations of Tai Chi Chuan include stationary positions, movements, breathing methods, balance training, as well as mental and physical relaxation techniques.
