Art Camp SCHEDULE
Visual Arts—Ages 6-10

ART THROUGH THE AGES June 21 June 25 $150.00
“The History of Art in Just One Week! From cave drawings to modern sculpture, “Art Through the Ages” explores the history of art from the very beginning up to the art of today. Start with clay pots and sculptures than move through Roman and Greek architecture. Discover the paintings of the renaissance, impressionism, and more. Each student will receive their own sketch book to draw their way through history!
MOSAICS & COLLAGES June 28—July 2 $150.00
Students will create several intricate projects of Collage and Mosaics. They will use materials such as glossy pictures, colored paper, plaster, tile, shells, beads, wood and many others. The projects will range from Posters to full color Patchworks to Mosaic Tiles.
3 D ARTCAMP July 5—July 9 $150.00
“Stop Thinking Flat!” Artwork will come to life in this class! Projects will range from classic sculptures to modern installations. From the abstract to the sensible, students will create works of art from clay and odd mediums such as cardboard, plastic, wire and more.
FUN WITH SCULPTURE July 12- July 16 $150.00
Students will be little Rodins, working with their hands to create a number of exciting sculpture projects! The projects include clay, paper machet, plaster, wire and pinatas. They will paint and decorate each project in their own personal style, and will come away with a fine group of 3-D Artworks including a pinata and clay sculpture, fully painted.
MODERN ART CAMP July 19 -July 23 $150.00
“It’s New. It’s Fun. It’s Modern.” One of our most popular classes back again for the 3rd year, with familiar favorites and new projects too! From splatter painting to abstract sculpture students will draw, paint, and sculpt in various mediums while learning the history of Modern Art. Each student will receive their own sketchbook and pencils.
DRAWING AND PAINTING July 26— July 30 $150.00
Drawing and Painting will fill this camp with a bunch of Fun Art Projects. Activities include lessons with shapes and expressions, and works featuring various subject such as animals, cars, scenery and people. Sketches and progress will be recorded in a sketchbook and students will finish with several nice drawings and paintings.
ART & INVENTION CAMP August 2-August 6 $150.00
“Imaginations, Invention and Artistic Creation!” This class will teach students the connection between art and invention, like DaVinci and so many others. Projects include a giant catapult, a flying wing, and kinetic energy and chemical reaction experiments. Join us for lots of fun!
CARTOONING August 9-August 13 $150.00
Students will enjoy Cartooning, from humorous style to Japanese to Comic Book. Activities include lessons in line, shape and expressions, and they will record their progress in a sketchbook. They will work in pencil, markers and paint to create cartoon characters and stories in comic strip or booklet format.
CUBISM ART CAMP August 16 August 20 $150.00
“All Things Are Made Of Basic Shapes” Students will learn to draw, paint, and sculpt in a cubistic style. Breaking objects down into simple shapes will build a good foundation in understanding balance, form and color. Students will keep an artistic journal throughout the week of their adventures in cubism.
IMPRESSIONISM/EXPRESSIONISM August 23-August 27 $150.00
Campers will create vibrant paintings and sculpture in the styles of Abstract Expressionism and Impressionism. In the process they will learn about these types of Art. Students will work in cut paper, paint and clay. Much emphasis will be given to experimentation and pushing the boundaries into new artistic experience. Students will record their progress in a sketchbook and complete several unique works of art.

This fun-filled intensive camp includes dramatic play, story enactment, imagination journeys, theatre games, music and dance. “Let’s pretend” is the norm in creative drama class! Students will focus on theatrical fundamentals including stage direction, simple choreography, verbal and emotional expression, and understanding theatre as an art form. Young actors will increase their physical-control, self--expression, and self-esteem
"DANCEWAVE” —Ages 8-17 July 12th thru July 23rd TIME: 9:00 – NOON $360.00
“Hey Dancers! What are YOU doing this summer?” Catch a wave! Why not spend two weeks making new friends and having tons of fun while learning the latest Jazz, Modern and Hip Hop choreography. Students will focus on the dance moves they do best and produce one, maybe even two full-length dance numbers as a result! “DANCEWAVE” is open to all boys and girls who love to perform! All levels and disciplines are welcome—no prior dance experience is necessary to attend! Ride the Ocean City “DANCEWAVE”! Leotards/Workout clothes and dance shoes required.
“TRIPLE THREAT” —Ages 9-18 Aug. 9th thru Aug. 13thTIME: 9:00 - NOON $180.00
SING, DANCE AND ACT! For one fantastic week, boys and girls will work on the fundamentals of musical theater: acting, singing, and dancing; with focus on stage directions, character development, improvisation, vocal technique, choreography and the art of the actual audition. Students will have the opportunity to apply their skills by rehearsing and presenting a Broadway production number for class performance. Workout clothes and dance shoes required.
"MOMMY & ME ” —Ages 3-5 Aug. 16th thru Aug. 20thTIME: 10:00 - NOON $75.00
This joyful class uses music, stories, pictures and props to teach dance skills and music ability.
"BALLET WORKSHOP ” —Ages 9-18 Aug. 23rd thru Aug. 27thTIME: 9:00 – NOON $180.00
For Ballet lovers! Ages may vary; at least 2 yrs technique training required. this is an opportunity to uncover and fix technical flaws while developing strong points. Tough by a Certified Cecchetti Teachers Coach.
NOTE: All dance camps include 1 hr of Ballet technical training for skills used in all dance styles
